The Times and Sunday Times Christmas Appeal 2023

Thank you for supporting Street Child’s Christmas appeal 2023, highlighted in The Times and The Sunday Times and supported with match funding by the UK government and additional funders.

We were delighted to have been chosen as one of the three charities supported by The Times and The Sunday Times Christmas Appeal for 2023. Journalists from both newspapers visited our programmes in various countries, speaking with children and their families who Street Child has supported.

Together we raised over £1.4 million, including £500,000 in matching funds from the UK government! With these matching funds, we’ve already started a new programme in Sierra Leone that aims to enrol 4,500 vulnerable children into primary education, and support 2,000 caregivers with business training and grants to help them afford the costs of education in the long-term.

Thank you to everyone who read our articles, donated to the appeal, and shared with your networks. Together, we are helping ensure more children can access life-changing education.
