Plume has chosen to partner with Street Child for its annual #PlumeStrong Cycling Challenge and is aiming to raise, through Street Child, substantial funds for a large-scale response to the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria on February 6th, 2023. The primary focus is on supporting the education sector by reconstructing schools, enabling affected children to regain access to education and start rebuilding their lives.
Together with Street Child, Plume has been actively responding to the aftermath of the Turkey-Syria earthquake. Generous contributions from Plume’s employees, their friends and family, and its business partners have already facilitated the construction and establishment of five prefabricated learning spaces, catering to the educational and psychosocial needs of 450 children in Adiyaman, Turkey. These learning spaces have been successfully transported, assembled, and utilized by children for their end-of-year exams. They will be fully operational starting in September, coinciding with the new school year.
Street Child is one of the fastest growing education charities with the purpose of seeing all children safe, in school and learning, especially in low resource environments and emergencies.
